What is Zhongshan CCC certification

China Compulsory Certification (CCC) is similar to other certifications for product quality standardization, such as the European CE system, but there are significant differences. The CCC certificate was introduced in 2002 and is applicable to imported goods and Chinese products. Certified products can only be imported, sold, and/or used for commercial activities in China after obtaining mandatory certification in China.

Failure to comply with CCC regulations will result in imported goods being detained at the border or returned to the sender. Similarly, improper use of Zhongshan CCC certification or printing CCC marks on unverified products will also result in fines and penalties. Even if the product does not require mandatory certification in China, problems may still arise if customs officials require CCC certification. Therefore, it is recommended to use customs clearance certificates to significantly reduce the risk of import related issues.

The three Cs represent three English words: China, Compulsory, and Certification, which together mean "China Compulsory Certification".

The scope of products that require Zhongshan CCC certification

Both domestically manufactured and imported products require the CCC mark, and products with communication and GPS functions are within the scope of the 3C certification catalog (1606). Currently, there are 20 types of CCC products, and the 3C products are as follows:

2. Organizational system for isolation, security, and information exchange

7. Firewall security system

8. Intrusion and detection system

9. Data backup/recovery products

10. Network security involving LAN card and hub switching

11. Network vulnerability scanning program

12. Website Recovery Products

China has incorporated its two mandatory inspection systems, one for inspecting the content of imported and exported products and the other for quality control, into a single procedure as part of its commitment to join the World Trade Organization. According to China's mandatory product certification regulations, the mandatory product certification system applies to products related to human life and health, animals and plants, environmental protection, and safety in our country.

To obtain Zhongshan CCC certification, one of the following conditions must be met:

1. Type test

2. Test or inspect factory samples

3. Test or inspect samples taken from the market

4. Evaluate the manufacturer's quality assurance system

5. Follow up inspection of certified products
