On January 18th, the National Conference on Certification, Accreditation, Inspection and Testing was held via video conference. The meeting implements the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, implements the deployment requirements of the National Conference on Market Regulation, summarizes and reviews the work in 2022, and studies and deploys key tasks for 2023. Tian Shihong, member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the State Administration for Market Regulation, and Director of the National Standards Commission, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

Tian Shihong fully affirmed the achievements of certification, accreditation, inspection and testing in 2022, stressed that it is necessary to accurately grasp the new tasks and requirements of certification, accreditation, inspection and testing in the new era, learn the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, accurately grasp the responsibilities and missions of certification, accreditation, inspection and testing in the process of promoting Chinese path to modernization, accurately grasp the development requirements of market supervision, accurately grasp the development needs of the industry itself, give full play to the role of national quality infrastructure, accelerate the high-quality development of certification, accreditation, inspection and testing, and start a new journey and new situation with new weather and new ideas.  

Tian Shihong requested that in 2023, we should make every effort to create a new situation in certification, accreditation, inspection and testing work. Political construction should reach a new level, focus on studying and implementing the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, continuously promote the construction of political organs, and highlight the construction of professional ethics; Deepening the reform of "streamlining administration, delegating powers, and improving services" requires taking new steps, advancing administrative approval reform, focusing on optimizing the level of government services, and accelerating the construction of the regulatory system; New progress should be made in industry regulation and rectification, focusing on prominent issues and areas of concern to the regulatory authorities and the public, and systematically promoting legal supervision, credit supervision, and intelligent supervision; The development of services should demonstrate new achievements, focusing on promoting consumption, expanding domestic demand, stimulating market vitality, and promoting industrial optimization and upgrading. We should deeply carry out actions such as improving the quality certification of key industries, improving the quality management system certification of small and micro enterprises, and promoting the optimization and upgrading of key industries through inspection and testing certification, in order to promote high-quality development; Capacity building should reach a new level, strengthen policy guidance and institutional guarantees, consolidate the technical standard system, deepen international cooperation and exchanges, and enhance the capabilities and qualities of regulatory and talent teams.  

At the meeting, officials in charge of relevant departments and bureaus of the General Administration made work reports, and officials in charge of market supervision departments in Shanxi, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Hubei, Guangdong, and Sichuan provinces (cities) made exchange speeches. Comrades from relevant departments and directly affiliated units of the General Administration attended the meeting at the main venue.
