On March 3rd, the National Conference on Product Quality and Safety Supervision was held in Beijing in video format.   Tian Shihong, member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the State Administration for Market Regulation, and Director of the National Standards Commission, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.  

Tian Shihong pointed out that in 2022, the national quality and safety supervision front will conscientiously implement the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, follow the general idea of the General Administration's Party Group's work of "emphasizing politics, strengthening supervision, promoting development, and ensuring safety", focus on the key industrial products that are related to people's lives, health, and safety, adhere to problem orientation, strengthen source governance, and fully safeguard the bottom line of industrial product quality and safety, and create a safe and stable quality environment for high-quality development. All work has achieved good results.  

Tian Shihong emphasized that in 2023, the national product quality and safety supervision front should deeply study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, conscientiously implement the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee, accurately grasp the direction of product quality and safety supervision work, and further highlight the safety, livelihood, and economic attributes of quality and safety supervision. We need to focus on six aspects of work: firstly, vigorously promote the implementation of the main responsibility for quality and safety, and firmly adhere to the bottom line of product quality and safety; Secondly, we will strengthen the quality and safety supervision of key industrial products to ensure the safety of people's lives, health, and property; Thirdly, we must adhere to integrity and innovation, and stimulate the vitality of the product quality and safety supervision system; Fourthly, strengthen the legal construction of product quality and consolidate the foundation of legal supervision; Fifth, coordinate development and security, effectively safeguard the quality development of industries and regions; Sixth, strengthen team building and forge a strong work style for product quality and safety supervision team.  

At the meeting, officials from market supervision departments in Shanghai, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Guangdong, Sichuan and other places made exchange speeches. Comrades from relevant departments and directly affiliated units of the General Administration attended the meeting at the main venue. Comrades in charge of provincial market supervision departments and personnel from relevant departments attended the meeting at the sub venue.
