Coming to Fangda Special Steel, its coking plant is a national model unit for greening, and the coking wastewater treatment system has been rated as a national key environmental protection practical technology demonstration project, winning the third prize of China Metallurgical Science and Technology Progress Award. In 2018, Fangda Special Steel built a new water treatment center, which added the function of collecting rainwater and adopted advanced processes such as ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis. The treated water quality reached the standard of direct drinking water, achieving full utilization of water resources and zero discharge of wastewater.


Entering Ping'an Iron and Steel, the raw material greenhouse is an important environmental protection technology renovation project of the company in 2018. The total investment of the project is 170 million yuan, and the total area of the shed in the material yard is 173500 square meters, making it one of the largest single span raw material greenhouses in the country. After the project was put into use, all raw materials were managed in a closed manner, fundamentally solving the problem of dust generated by the open-air stacking of raw materials and fuels in the Anyuan production area.


In 2020, Jiujiang Iron and Steel successfully completed the thermal load test of a 180 square meter sintering flue gas denitrification project, marking the smooth operation of the first sintering flue gas denitrification project in Jiangxi Province. The project achieved ultra clean emissions of SO2 and NOx in sintering flue gas, which is 5 years ahead of the completion date for the ultra-low emission transformation of sintering flue gas denitrification stipulated by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China.
